Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
